CRISIS MANAGEMENT

Crises can come at any time in any form. If you’re not prepared for them they can overwhelm a business and its management.

We’ll help you understand the risks to your business, prepare contingency and succession plans, and rehearse and review those plans with your key staff.

The first 48 hours of a crisis are hard; the next 48 hours are harder still as stress and fatigue kick in. We can join your senior management team if a crisis does hit to provide extra management capacity just at the point when it’s needed. We’re only a phone call away.

creditor management

Cash is king. And sometimes it only takes a few failed transactions or an unmitigated risk materialising to push a business into a cashflow crisis.

We’re used to helping businesses navigate through a cashflow crisis and can advise how best to deal with creditors, as well as how to negotiate with HMRC.

Our fee structure in these circumstances is designed not to make things any worse than they already are.

hr mediation

Even in the best run firms things can go wrong with the relationship between employer and employee. When you’re re-organising your business and making redundancies, sometimes hidden issues can come home to roost.

Legal costs to defend a complicated unfair dismissal claim can easily reach six figures, even before the claim makes it to Employment Tribunal. The drain on management time is significant.

Robust policies and procedures will help prevent some claims, particularly with regards to protected disclosures (or ‘whistleblowing’).

But where a settlement agreement can’t be reached we can help mediate the conversation and act as an ‘honest broker’ between all parties before legal fees really start to climb.

internal investigations

Do you have the correct policies and procedures in the event of a protected disclosure by a member of staff? How do you run an investigation while giving that employee the protection guaranteed by law?

We’re used to carrying out interviews thoroughly and sensitively at all levels of an organisation (including at Board and senior management level), as well as reviewing emails and other messaging.
