About us

Drayton Tyler was founded in 2018 by regulatory and operations expert Henry Dodds. Henry has over two decades experience as a COO at global investment banks including Deutsche Bank, DLJ, Lehman Brothers and Nomura.

In 2017 he became main board director and general manager of the Luxembourg financial services boutique Anoa Capital, which later changed its name to Dare Holdings. The company was in considerable financial and operational distress at the time but with his fellow (also newly appointed) directors he was able to stabilse the business whilst still managing existing clients. The business was successfully closed at the end of 2018.

Henry, who has a BSc in Pure and Applied Physics, started his working life as a commissioned officer in the British Army, first in the Royal Engineers and then in the Intelligence Corps. He founded the world renowned magazine Jane’s Intelligence Review in 1989 before moving into the City of London in 1994.

He has considerable international and cross-cultural experience, in particular in Japan, India, Luxembourg and the USA.

In a wide-ranging career he became a Special Adviser in the UK Parliament in 2003 and the Defence Adviser in the Conservative Research Department in 2005.

He has also written and presented programmes for BBC Radio 4, including the well reviewed factual programme about our relationship with money, called ‘Funny Money’.
